Hi.

Recently, Firefox has been renamed as Iceweasel @ Debian. After that,
when I open any website of google tools, such as google toolbar
(http://tools.google.com/firefox/toolbar/install.html) or google
notebook (http://www.google.com/notebook/download), Google doesn't
recognize my iceweasel (verison 2) as firefox and forbid my
installation.

What can I do now? 3x for ing me.

I just installed those, but I have FF 2.0 from upstream, not Sid.
You have to OK installation first. What exactly do you see?

I cannot see the "Agree and Install" Button. Actually, it appeared for
only less than one second (I saw it several times) and then became the
following text:

I guess the code of browser-check cannot recognize the iceweasel is
just firefox.

Does the User Agent Switcher extension work with Iceweasel? If so, you may
be able to fool Google. I fool my bank all the time - it only "supports"
Netscape and IE, but Firefox works just fine when pretending to be Netscape.

(Incidentally, I'm on a Debian Etch/testing system and Firefox is still
Firefox (Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.0.7) Gecko/20060830
Firefox/1.5.0.7 (Debian-1.5.dfsg+1.5.0.7-2)); Iceweasel is nowhere to be
found. Have I missed something?)

A solution that works for me is download the bugy tarbal from
mozilla.orginstall what you want and the run Iceweasel and you may
have all the
extentions that you install in firefox.

I knew it, this "change" must have a lot problems but what we can do?

You did not miss anything. Iceweasel is currently blocked from entering
Etch by release-critical bugs:

apt-cache search Iceweasel shows
iceweasel - lightweight web browser based on Mozilla

After doing 'U' in aptitude (which does a dist-upgrade), [I|i]ceweasel is
not listed as available. A previous reply tells me it's not in testing yet
because of release-critical bugs. Maybe you have more than etch/testing in
your sources?

When I do apt-cache search Iceweasel I get
openoffice.org - OpenOffice.org Office suite version 2.0
presumably because it recommends iceweasel | firefox | etc.
