Is there a way to know :
- how many memory slots are empty
- if not empty, which is the size of each memory bank installed?

Of course, without open the case :-D !!

Hi Mirco,
Try with
lm-sensors using sensor
hwinfo using hwinfo --bios

I don't know if there is a list of supported mainboad/chipset.
