I wrote a question here a while ago.
Now the message shows on this site: http://search.webservertalk.com/message1634383.html And my email is there like plain text. I found out that by searching my email with google.. and it pointed me there. Because of that, I get 50 junkmail everyday to my mail. Anyone know, what to do? :e |

Thats what I use for posting. 3) Munge the email address when posting publicly (see my email address). 4) Use thunderbird for email and start "training" the junk mail filter by clickin the "junk" button for junk emails. It probably filter about 95% of the junk. |

Get a new email address, I'm afraid is the answer. Once an address gets dirty by posting to usenet, there's pretty much no reclaiming it. Filter like hell, or make a new one. I wish I had better news. I had to switch to a non-replyable address about 4 years ago for this reason. -- Todd H. http://www.toddh.net/ |

Have your email provider set up greylisting. Have your email provider set up SpamAssassin or equivalent. Encourge your ISP to use a couple of blacklist sources (e.g., spamhaus). Filter like mad (Thunderbird, Mail.app, etc. can be trained to to recognize "junk email"). Learn how to read email headers; when something gets through all of the filters, forward it to the administrators of the source machine with a complaint. It's amusing to get back "thank you, we've killed the account and kept the deposit" notices. -- --Stewart Stremler----------------------------...rohan.sdsu.edu-- In addition to being universally popular, I have recently acquired the power to turn water into Heinekin.
