Hi everyone,
I was just typing in my keywords, as you do, and had a terrible thought, perhaps I'm doing it wrong - could someone advise I'm doing stuff like meta name="keywords" content="still & star, pub, city of london" should I put "still, star, pub, city, london" ????????? Cheers Tony |

Nearly all search engines ignore keywords anyway, so you could fill it up
with animal names for all the effect it will have. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- "CityPubs.co.uk" <tony@citypubs.co.uk> wrote in message news:goednd8YZ4xDM2_ZRVnyvw@bt.com... > Hi everyone, > I was just typing in my keywords, as you do, and had a terrible thought, > perhaps I'm doing it wrong - could someone advise |

Some search engines definitely use them, others may, for all we know, and they all might tomorrow. If you are going to use a meta tag, then try to do it correctly; an incorrect one is worse than none at all. -- Andrew Editor http://www.seo2seo.com/ |

More accurate is to say that tomorrow all of them could ignore keywords tag. At the beginning all of the SE used keyword meta tag. Then people start spaming it so SE starts not to care about that tag. BTW Where is an opinion I heard many times: "some SE which does not care of keywords tag while indexing would ban you for spam in it". > If you are going to use a meta tag, then try to do it correctly; an > incorrect one is worse than none at all. As said before: on Usenet you don't pay for advice, so what the fuck do you expect? If you want *professional* advice, *pay* for it, since that's what professional suggest. Usenet is a *discussion* medium, not a desk providing free rides for every nitwit. Em, thanks. -- John Need with SEO?
