An interesting report at CNN talking about Google's power. "How Google can make - or break - your company" |

Well, CNN followed up with another article about Google the next day. But regardless of your view, CNN has a lot of power itself and probably millions of people read that article. I heard Google say in a webcast they crawl the CNN site every 10 minutes. So that provides some idea how much prominence Google assigns to CNN. The article's claims correspond to my own experiences of Google and the article's theme is one which has been aired many times in the press: the idea of Google omnipresence. I suggest reading the Dyson autobiography which explains a lot of British business. Dyson basically hates UK business, but his book has many truths. One is that many UK companies rely on advertising and not content. This is definitely my experience of my competitors using Google. They build cheap websites and just advertise a lot and then discount: hardly earth shattering business strategories! > > BB > -- > http://www.crystal-liaison.com/comfo...joy-peace.html > http://www.kruse.co.uk/search-engine...n-firms-uk.htm > http://www.crystal-liaison.com/comfo...andmother.html |

Maybe they monitor it to know what's current in the news so they can make any info they have on it more prominent in related search results. If I was a big-dome and worked for Google, that's what I'd be doing, he wrote, glancing at the phone... :-( >The article's claims correspond to my own experiences of Google and the >article's theme is one which has been aired many times in the press: >the idea of Google omnipresence. > >I suggest reading the Dyson autobiography which explains a lot of >British business. Does it work? If it does then it doesn't need to be earth-shattering, just successful.
