Par défaut Domain Trust with two existing domains

I am the new Network admin for my company. We are looking into trusting
our two domains. The only problems that I see are that we have servers
with the same name. (simple fix is to change the names!) Has anyone
ever done this and what problems did they run into. The main problem is
that both domains currently have the same users. One domain has the
exchange server so everyone has a user on that domain. What problem
will we run into with the two users and is there a way to merge the
users? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx
John

You'll need to change the name of the servers. Duplicate
names accross domains isn't a problem but DCs with same
name are a problem. With a third party utility called NTACCOUNTS
you should be able to export and import. There is also a
tool called addusers.exe which allows you to import and
export but it doesn't export passwords.
