Hi all,
Does anyone know of a good imap mail notification utilty, especially one that works with Outlook Express? It's a long story, but after admitting defeat in routing my private email through gmail (due to their 'sent on behalf' header thingy that shows up in Outlook - which i don't like) i've set up one imap account on my OE to retreive my email. The problem is, I like using system tray mail notification utilties in conjunction with OE, and none of them work well with IMAP. It seems they only respond to the local inbox. I tried imapnotify but I don't like it at all. I would equally be willing to try a different email client, but I've already used Thunderbird, and although I think it's the best client for IMAP by far (especially as regards different imap identities) and it has good mail notification extensions, I find it extremely slow to use. What keeps bringing me back to OE is the speed of navigation within the program. So can anyone advise me? Joanna |

Have you tried POPTRAY with the IMAP plugin: http://www.poptray.org/plugins.php I haven't tested its IMAP capabilities but you can try and check for yourself, as it is a very handy utility. Have you also checked the other email notifiers available at: www.nonags.com ? Yizhar Hurwitz http://yizhar.mvps.org |

Thanks for this tip - I used to use mail2web and mail2wap in the past to
check on pop3 accounts - I had no idea it was so improved and handled IMAP so well - thanks!
