Hello IMAP guys,
Using IMAP4, up to now the results when using the advanced search tool of Outlook 2002 do not include the elements marked as unread. Then how to search within unread posts from public folder using IMAP4 and Outlook 2002? Many thanks for your and support. Best regards, Maniacstamps |

IMAP is a protocol. If you were writing an IMAP client or server, and were trying to clarify the protocol details for this particular type of an operation, then this would be a valid question for this newsgroup. But you're not, you're just using some E-mail software that (poorly) implements IMAP, and you want to know how to do this, using your mail software. You'll have better luck asking in the appropriate microsoft.* newsgroup. As far as the IMAP protocol-specific answer goes, I interpret your question as to how mark a specific message as read. You've presumably have one or more message at hand, and you want to mark a specific message as read. Using message #3 as an example: 001 STORE 3 +FLAGS (\Seen) * 3 FETCH (FLAGS (\Seen \Recent)) 001 OK STORE completed. Now, IMAP mail software should no longer show message #3 as unread. But, I suspect that this doesn't you at all, since your question has nothing to do with IMAP, but with how to use your E-mail software, which just happens to be configured to access a mail account via IMAP. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBEKHjhx9p3GYHlUOIRAqXXAJwO8XB8/f2XawN2eiMuLrv6v0PhswCdGMVN x6nlFjGFC5PiB3neQsL+eI8= =W540 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |
