Hi. Ive been searching for solutions for the last couple days so
hopefully this will work:

i've got win2k computer that connects to the router and router to dsl.

everything was working fine then installed windows defender and now
cannot connect. ipconfig /renew /release fails as it claims it's
autoconfigured.

i've looked and uninstalled the defender to be sure it wasn't blocking
something from giving dynamic ip info.

when setting static values the computer will connect to the LAN but
cannot reach the internet.

I feel like it's something simple im overlooking but found some like
threads but no solution.

any is greatly appreciated.
