I know this isn't a DNS questions but I can't find a newsgroup (via an NNTP
client) for WINS. I'm trying to work out if I can get rid of WINS on my network so am running perfmon on the WINS server to see how many queries it's getting. It's really only getting the odd one or two every minute or so but i'm also getting failed queries. is there any loggin I can setup to see where the queries are coming from? Should I use a packet sniffer? and how can I can tell the failed queries? What is being queried and by whom? Thanks in advance. Lincoln |
