Not sure if this is the correct place to post this. I have recently upgraded
our PDC to 2003 AD and everything seemed to be going fine until I tried to access a mailbox through Outlook 2003 on an XP Pro machine. The mail server is runnign NT Server 4.0 with Exchange 5.5. I can ping the machine from the client fine but when I try to open Outlook it hangs for quite a while and will then come back and say that the Exchange server could not be found. I think click Retry and it goes in OK. Just wondered if anyone else has had this problem or knows how to sort it. Apologies if this is posted in the wrong place. Thanks |

Is the XP pro machine pointed to the same WINS server as the NT 4.0 server?

Very strange. I went in the next day, re-booted everything and it started to
work fine. Not entirely sure what happened but many thanks for the response anyway.
