Je tiens à vous remerci pour votre aide. Malheureusement, mon dernier
essai pour installer sid n'a pas été concluant.

J'ai lu le wiki sur xorg et j'ai suivi vos conseils mais le clavier et
la souris ne fonctionnent toujours pas après installation du serveur
graphique.
Je n'ai pas eu de message d'erreur durant la procédure dist-upgrade.
J'ai gardé le noyau de base du système et sans installer X, j'ai le
clavier en console.
Par contre, après l installation de xorg (apt-get install xorg), et
après celle de gnome (apt-get install environment), plus de clavier ni
de souris après le reboot. Les magic keys sont inopérants.

Je décide de revenir en stable où tout fonctionnait très bien. Je ferai
de nouveau l'expérience sid lorsque xorg fonctionnera mieux. Pour ceux
que cela intéresse je joins mon fichier de configuration xorg.conf.

Merci pour ton fichier de configuration, mais en premier lieu le log
serait plus utile.

Je ne sais pas pour le problème de clavier mais j'ai eu le même problème
que toi avec la souris.
Le log du serveur ( /var/log/Xorg.0.log ) indiquait un truc du genre :
Unable to load module "mouse"
L'installation du package xserver-xorg-input-mouse a résolu le problème
Pour le clavier il y a xserver-xorg-input-kbd.

Je trouve un peu bizare de séparer les choses a ce point mais bon...
donc vérifie que tu as ces 2 packages installés.
