Hi,
I am just a little confused. If some one send a RTS and all nodes update their NAV based on the data packted that is to be tx (plus the ACK) and the RTS fails (corruption/collision). Do the RTS listening nodes (and potentially CTS listening if the CTS collides) wait till the end of their NAV to re-contend? Also, separately, in a normal CSMA/CA if you wake up and sense nothing, you dont immediately transmit something? I read somewhere an immediate tx. and other places a wait period chosen uniformaly from the current CW. and finally, if you do sense something- how do you decide when to next sense the medium (assuming there was no RTS or you missed the RTS )? I would really appreciate some expert replies or suggestions on where to ask this from a more qualified audience in this particular aspect? Thankyou. |
