While I know you can specify the directory that you want to install your
database files to during setup, is there any way to specify specifically where to store your .mdf and .ldf files during setup(i.e., all .ldf files go to d:\sql while all .mdf files go to e:\sql)? If not, what's the easiest way to move them to your desired directories after the install is complete? Thanks. |

We use the Enterprise Manager to change the locations. IIRC, we had to
copy the ldf and mdf files to the proper locations and modify the configuration in EM. Once it was verified, I went back and deleted the, now useless, files.....
