Hi group
I like to know from a Windows 2000 or 2003 Server with which DC the server is connected. Something like the %Logonserver%-variable for a user. But the server itself authenticates also on a DC (even if no user is connected) - and i don't know how to get this information. The output i like to have in a simple textfile with the content something like.."Server ABC123 is connected with DC DOMCONT01". I should have a script what i can start from a central server, to query any server i want. Thank you for your :-) Bruno |

Hello, still no answer...
but i am trying to find a possibility to get the information with which DC a server is connected (even no user is logged in). I found the registry-key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\ Group Policy\History] -> DCName Is this a possible solution to read this value from the server ? Thanks for your Bruno "BrunoK" <nospam@trashmail.de> wrote in message news:44eaaac0$1@news.post.ch... > Hi group > > I like to know from a Windows 2000 or 2003 Server with which DC the server > is connected.
