I want to test upgrade NT to win2003.
1. Installed a BDC on other box. 2. Syn BDC with production PDC. 3. Unplug BDC with production network and plug to a standalone router. 4. After login BDC, it will display dialog windows "Cannot find PDC for domain" from Server manager. After click ok, it should display a BDC computer name in normal condition. Probleom: Now it won't display anything. So I can't promote it to PDC. So can't upgrade it to win2003 for testing. What's the problem? Please . Thankyou. |

Sorry about the previous blank post. Is possible you
are not viewing the servers? Click on view / all. Open a dos prompt on this BDC and run nbtstat -n. Do you see a domain name 1c name in the cache? It works now. Just un-tick "Show Domain Members only" from View pull-down
menu. Yes, can see 1c name in the cache. Thanks. That's because that option queries the SAM database for domain
members instead of the browse list. Glad to hear you got it going. "Eco" <eco@hotmail.com> wrote in message news: > It works now. Just un-tick "Show Domain Members only" from View pull-down > menu. > > Yes, can see 1c name in the cache. Thanks. > |
