I uninstalled all the modules of ss2k5 via the Control Panel 'Add Remove
Programs' . The modules are no longer listed in the AddRemove Programs list ... however they are still listed in the 'All Programs' window .... and I can open Management Studio and access SS2k5. How do I uninstall SS2k5?? -- Thanks in advance GH |

Hi,
My understanding of your issue is that: You encountered an issue that you have uninstalled your SQL Server 2005 from Add Remove Programs, however you found that it still existed in your Start menu and you could still access it. You want to know how to fully uninstall the SQL Server 2005. If I have misunderstood, please let me know. By default, SQL Server 2005 can be removed via Add Remove Programs. For this issue, I recommend that you check again if all the SQL Server 2005 components are removed from the "Change or Remove Programs" list; Then you can try to uninstall SQL Server 2005 by this article: How to uninstall an instance of SQL Server 2005 manually http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;EN-US;909967 If this issue persists, please stop SQL Server service; use "installutil /u sqlserv.exe" to uninstall the SQL Server service; then delete the SQL Server 2005 directory. If the folder can't be deleted, you can swith your Windows to safe mode and delete the folder again. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to let me know. It's my pleasure to be of assistance.
