There is no usr directory in WinXP. Of course you can make one, if you want -- that's not the real issue, though. The key is to have a window-enabled version of Perl and to get it registered properly in Windows and Apache (you're going to use mod-perl, I assume?). I'm not using Perl so I can't give you a step-by-step. Google for Perl in Apache WinXP and you will find a number of matches to guide you in your setup. I need the Apache server and perl to use a library system KOHA
www.koha.org, this system requires them both, and requires that perl be installed in the usr folder. No I don't need to use mod-perl, the reason I asked is that I watched the installation done on another PC and saw that usr folder was created directly after the installation of apache, thats why I asked. Now I have another question, if I created the folder my self, and installed perl in it, will the perl modules work on apache, and is there a way to test this or not? |

I believe the shebang line in the perl script points to the location of the perl interpreter, so it could be in any directory you choose. |
