I installed 2.0.54 on a Windows 98 machine. (BTW I have run apache 2.0.52 successfully on this same machine but both Windows 98 and Apache are new installs. This machine is a IBM Thinkpad 600x). Now with this new install I get the "No services installed" message. When I did the install I was very careful to install it as a service. I checked my config file on another server also running the same version of Apache and all is ok. Could Windows 98 be the culprit? Charley |

That concept only applies to NT/2000/XP. On Win98 wou have to run apache in a DOS window. |

It was some time ago that I ran Apache 2 on win 98 and I guess in the meantime I had a senior moment and forgot about the console. Charley |
