I just want to count how many requests are served by the webserver. I
want to do that in any C file in the server. Can anyone direct me to a
file in source where I can do this?

Something like grepping for .c in access logs?
Once you test it to see if its pulling what you want then you can use the
"count" switch -c to keep from getting a view of it all.
