Je suis nouveau dans le monde de Linux et je souhaite installer un
server apache2 2.0.54-5 avec un php4.3.10-16, mysql 4.0.24 installer sur
une Debian debian 2.6.8-2-686-smp. Le tout sur un Serveur Gateway 7400 2
*PIII 933+512Mo+dd SCSI(ouf !)

J'ai effectuer plusieurs simulations convainquantes sous vmware sur mon
poste xp, et l'installation sur le serveur ne s'éxécute pas comme prévu.
Peut être à cause de la version smp.

Je me heurte a quelques disfonctionnements, et au travers des différents
forum, je ne trouve pas mes réponses.

1. l'affichage de la page par défaut d'apache apparait avec des
caractères spéciaux plutôt que des caractères accentués. J'ai bien
essayé de modifier le apache2, mais sans résultat.

2. Impossible d'accéder normalement à la page
http://192.168.1.200/phpmyadmin j'ai pourtant modifier le config.inc.php
$cfg['PmaAbsoluteUri'] = 'http://192.168.1.200/phpmyadmin/';

Lorque j'entre http://192.168.1.200/phpmyadmin/phpinfo.php la page php
s'affiche normalement, alors que
http://192.168.1.200/phpmyadmin/index.php affiche le code de la page !


En outre j'arrive à y accéder en tapant :
http://192.168.1.200/phpmyadmin/main.php et là phpmyadmin fonctionne
correctement !

Pouvez vous me donner un coup de pouce svp, je suis totaly bloqued

svp poster la config d'apache ou .htaccess dans le dossier, il semble
que ton fichier index.php ne soit pas parsed as php sur ton serveur
