And do you think the social networking sites are going to drive traffic to you? Probably not as much as you think. I've found most sites like yours start out pretty low on the needs. Often there is an initial spike which lasts maybe a month or two as people check it out, but then traffic drops off to a more stable figure. You probably can get along fine with a shared hosting account. Eventually you might need to go to a VPS, but that's a lot more work. -- ================== Remove the "x" from my email address Jerry Stuckle JDS Computer Training Corp. jstucklex@attglobal.net ================== |

thanks Jerry - really appreciate your feedback.
I am trying to work out, how many visitors would a server handle for 1GB of bandwidth? is there a formula out there to use for these things? i have been told shared hosting can be a mess sometimes, especially if someone hacked it. hence why i am thinking of the VPS. |

Divide 1GB by the average size of your page and you can get an idea how many hits you'll get. -- ================== Remove the "x" from my email address Jerry Stuckle JDS Computer Training Corp. jstucklex@attglobal.net ================== |
