Chase is huge with an outstanding reputation that follows the same US banking (and credit card) laws as everyone else. As an existing customer with an account balance that you're carrying, you'll get very favorable rates. If you are truly generating over a million per year, even a modest .5% rate cut below PayPal will generate an additional $5000/year in profit - and you'll get your money a couple days earlier. I'd take it. |

Or your accountant. You do have an accountant? I hear the IRS are even worse than our own Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs, and with a turnover in excess of 1 million they would be very interested in you. That said, I seriously doubt you are running anything more than a kitchen-table reseller business with a turnover less than my daughter's pocket money. .. Matt |

The bank manager's advice is not independent and she has a vested interest. I thought there were any specialied consultant for ecommerce money transactions. I was looking for unbiased feedback from people with real experience. thanks, John -------------------- Okay, I have real experience and my company DOES do the amount that you claim to. If your CPA can't give you business advice, you should find someone who knows more than how to fire up a copy of QuickBooks and TaxPro on his laptop. I depend on our accountant for everything from tax advice to business consultation to financial planning. He's expensive, but worth every penny. Yes, your bank manager has a vested interest...in keeping you happy. That's where you should go to get the best rates and face-to-face customer service. Anything else and you'll just be adding one more middle-man into the mix between your customers money and your bank account. --Tina |

Get a new CPA. My CPA gives me advice on a regular basis, about 90% of which I follow. The bank manager should be doing everything in his power to get all your business, so why are you adamnatly opposed to listening to her advice as well? The manager of my bank knows me by name, greets me regularly and always asks if they can be of any additional service - and I don't do anywhere near $1 million per year. Once again, I think your figures are a bit inflated or you would be much more knowledgeable on these subjects.... |

I guess I may have to take advice from another CPA. I would also have to change my bank. JPMorganChase is a big bank and does not care for small bussines customers. We import sporting goods from asia and sell locally. I am looking for a bank which has import document collection services as well credit card processing. Any experiences or recommendations? |
