First commercial web browser? I don't think so. That was NCSA Mosaic, which still lives on in part, in so much as most other browsers are based upon it. X |

No Netscape's usage plummeted when AOL bought it and promptly shelved it. It went downhill from there. As for their trying to revive it, what geek or pseudo-geek in his right mind would use or trust anything from the loins of AOL?? -- "I get the impression that Jamie is a papusa or two short of a combination plate." - Kent Wills "Daytime television sucked 20 years ago, and it still sucks today!" - Marc Bissonette |

People where already dropping Netscape like a hot piece of shit before that. And they got a good point. I needed to buy extra memory so I could run Netscape 4.x a bit longer with all that memory leaking going on. -- John Bokma http://johnbokma.com/ |
