<pinch!> Does that ? No really, we do occasionally see someone
realize the advice given here is generally good advice. <g>

[OT] in some thread somewhere recently, you mentioned your TR-7.

Not me. You aren't my type :-)

Thanks! No...wait...I still see those two paragraphs. Okay, I must be
having a drug reaction. Probably to not having any.

My 1976. Yeah, when someone was calling a 1996 vehicle old. Hah! That
one's still wearing diapers.

"[T]he peculiar design, which looked fit to split firewood"? It was The
Wedge (that was how it was promoted). It was aerodynamic, fer
crissakes. What a Wally this guy is.

"The thing had more short-circuits than a mixing board with a bong
spilled on it." Never had a short in my 22 years with it.

"The carburetors had to be constantly romanced to stay in
balance." Hah! California car -- only had one carb. Neener!

"Timing chains snapped."

One replacement in 22 years, and the old one didn't break.

"Oil and water pumps refused to pump, only suck."

Never had a pump problem in 22 years.

"The sunroof leaked and the concealable headlights refused to
open their peepers."

No sunroof. One worn wire in a pop-up headlight caused one incident
of no-pop-up in 22 years. A three-minute fix.

"One owner reports that the rear axle fell out. How does that happen?"

It happens because one owner exaggerated.

But yeah, the TR7 also appears in my book "The World's Worst Cars" --
but hey, that includes *150* models.

Shagnasty did the job. And hey, you could've used tongs.
