I have a question, I have a friend who draws cartoons.
I made him a simple site that displays these, he wanted to throw up adwords So I did this, but here is the problem. Nothing is going to appear in the Google Adwords because the cartoon and the caption are on a jpg. Here's the question, is there anyway to get something to appear in the adwords? The cartoons are a single panel so what I did is on the Img tag I put the caption for the cartoon in the "title" section of the image tag on the jpg. I thought maybe Google would read the caption. It didn't though. I wrote it like this <img title="this is the caption" src="http://cartoonexample.com" alt="cartoon image"/> So other than putting the caption in words (html) underneath each JPG, is there any other way to get Google Adwords to work. Sorry for being OT but you guys tend to know alot |

The latter being more important. By the sounds of it, there isn't much to google to go on. But from experience, you are better off with adsense on text pages than pic pages. hth plh Paul ----== Posted via Newsfeeds.Com - Unlimited-Unrestricted-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.newsfeeds.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! 120,000+ Newsgroups ----= East and West-Coast Server Farms - Total Privacy via Encryption =---- |

Adwords: there's a clue in there somewhere! ;o) But I think you mean Adsense? Adsense looks at the visible page, but it's still good practice to get all the design right; there should be an appropriate <title>, and there could be a heading (H1). Plus each cartoon could have an ALT text caption, as well as a visible caption beneath the cartoon. That text can be small, but not ridiculously so. Another alternative is to have the cartoons at the top of the page, and have the artist discuss his inspiration and context at the foot of the page. Many graphic folk are allergic to words; beneath their dignity, I suspect. But if they want to the cash, they have to swallow their pride. It's that simple. -- Andrew http://www.seo2seo.com/ http://www.sick-site-syndrome.com/ First things first - but not necessarily in that order.
