About 3 months ago I put an affiliate link on one of my pages. My
page was a normal content rich page. It went from top ten in google, to way down. I removed the link and have been scared of affilates ever since and have focused on adsense. Is there anyway to prevent this? Was this just a coincidence? Thank you. |

Was this just a coincidence? Thank you. There's good affiliate schemes and bad ones; you need to investigate each one before linking. there's no sure way to avoid the bad. -- Andrew http://www.seo2seo.com/ http://www.sick-site-syndrome.com/ First things first - but not necessarily in that order. There was one piece of SEO advice that was unusually pertinent. The
advise was to never put bad stuff on good websites, and to put bad stuff on the junk sites only . It is hard to look at this instance without knowing dewtails, but if you do not want to share, that's totally understandable. Google, as most people, do not like affiliates. They are associated with lying, worthless pages, etc. i |

SpecialOperationsDirector http://www.AmazingBillboards.com I agree. I would contact the owner of the sites see if they are legitimate behind the scenes and do a little research and go with your best judgement. Affiliate links can you however because when someone goes to look for their site it is possibel your site might come up because it provides a link.
