Today i came across a site "www.alexarankteam.com" which is going to
increase the Alexa rankings of your site for some charge.
Can we keep faith on such site who claims for increasing alexa
ranking ? Who knows more about this site? I am running a new site. I
want to it be ranked to top 50k. Becuase My investor likes that.
Should I use their service? They said they never failed on this
project. It's amazing.

It's crap because:

1. Alexa means nothing, and
2. You can do the same for free by installing the alexa toolbar (free) on
every computer you have access to, and visiting your site three or four
times a day for a few weeks.

You won't get in the top ten like that - but you'll easily make your 50k,
for what it's worth (nothing).

Several years ago I installed the A9 toolbar, which 'phones' Alexa. It didn't
last for long. In a matter of months, Alexa rank jumped from about 300,000th
to 17,000th. I didn't see any elevation in /real/ traffic. Just blogging in
the site was pretty much the only thing accounting and responsible for the
fast climb. What does that teach us? Alexa means what you /want/ it to mean,
but it doesn't mean s***.

Unless anything has changed in the past few years, just regularly visiting
our /own/ site with Alexa or Netcraft or your back will bump you into the top
50,000 (it's just an ego boost, but it's invisible and insignificant for most
purposes... just eats your CPU cycles and bandwidth).
