Hi there,
I have a client whose website contains a single page with a long list of 70 employees, let's say it's called "staff.html". They want their employee names to appear higher up in search engines. What can I do to this happen? They say they don't want to create individual pages for each employee, but I could create virtual pages using Apache mod_rewrite (i.e. http://domainname/staff/john-smith ). Is there any benefit in creating these virtual pages if I redirect them to staff.html? Anyone else know any SEO tricks? Do you know if anchor tags will be of any benefit? (i..e staff.html#john-smith ) Thanks, Jeff Perreault |

Try bolding their names. Really a very stupid problem that is given to
you (not your fault). i On Tue, 18 Sep 2007 18:31:00 -0000, jephperro <jeff.perreault@gmail.com> wrote: > Hi there, > > I have a client whose website contains a single page with a long list > of 70 employees, let's say it's called "staff.html". > > They want their employee names to appear higher up in search engines. > > What can I do to this happen? > > They say they don't want to create individual pages for each employee, > but I could create virtual pages using Apache mod_rewrite (i.e. > http://domainname/staff/john-smith ). > > Is there any benefit in creating these virtual pages if I redirect > them to staff.html? > > Anyone else know any SEO tricks?
