Par défaut Paul, are your pix compressed?

I'm wondering if they aren't, then maybe Google now judges that the
pages load really slowly so you've fallen foul of some slow page
loading time filter.

He had this problem some time ago and was forced to pay for additional
bandwidth (or was close to), I recall showing him how to save on transfer.
Can't recall what he finally did with the problem - but he did something

Wasn't it the second stage? I mean - I think he started modifying
pictures, and moved later.

But perhaps he should be THE person to tell about details

I don't know I don't think a lot of his pictures are compressed. His BW is
still quite high for an average site he got close to his limit in Jan. I am
doing some researching and tests with the hotlinking filter to see if that
is the cause of the images being removed. I haven't had my images removed
but none of the newer images have been cached since I applied the hotlinking
filter to one of my sites.

Paul, I have an email I am working on for you. Haven't got all my reasearch
done yet though, but if you notice I did add some approved domains in your
filter. Some of the tests of course will have to take time.:-)

Yes, I did that with both sites. But only recently have they
disappeared. My site has suffered whereas the other one isn't affected
as much.

Some can still use a little more compression. The site is still high sized
with the images as far as transfer is concerned. But I don't think size has
anything to do with the disappearance of the images.

They are. Also used jpg cleaner to remove photoshop garbage. Also,
some of the images are just a few k in size. These too have
disappeared.

Average site ? tsk
I have people spending hours on there, and there are 1000's of images
on there.

Thank you Stacey, but you should be spending quality time with
"something" else atm. I can wait.

The images were cached when they were larger, and again when they were
compressed. Even the gifs [few k in size] have also gone.

That is what I am saying it can not be the size of the files. As there are
some cached from other sites larger.

Yes, I know some are a few K. Some are a bit large though. But it isn't the

People can spend hours on there. Once an image is loaded on there computer
that is it. Most of your BW came from hits elsewhere that caused the
problem.

We can not spend ever passing second of the day together. Besides he took

Well you didn't have the image Google on there only google.com. I placed the
image search on there and the other main SE's for you.:-)

Mybee google is treating images as duplicate content now?
I searched for 3 of your images and found them on other
sides, why would google need to index them on multiple
sites?

That's what I was thinking also. I asked Paul in the other thread if the
images are his copyright. If they are not his, are they the copyright of
the site that is showing them? Interesting. Has google found a way of
defining ownership and assigning the SERPs to it?

nope.
None of my gif images are present either.
Plus, my images are different file size or image size than others.

No Jez.
For example, look at my clipart page. They were all made by me, but
none are showing.
