Hi there,
im promoting my new employers site www.nemarkmedia.co.uk and its
taking an AGE to appear top 100... i usually get there within a few
weeks, and its been over 6 (weeks) now.

anyone got any feedback on this for me? im missing something i just
know it!
(going through some personal issues my gf of 10 years is leaving me -
so i know im only firing on 2 cylinders at the moment)

any /sympathy appreciated

Mark,

Take comfort in knowing that the site is listed #1 on its own domain name.
I do have a bunch that cannot even rank for their own name (penalized in
other words). So, you are on the right track. Just give yourself a more
generous time frame

Hi Mark,

I can't find http://www.nemarkmedia.co.uk/sitemap.xml (which I think would
work better than http://www.newmarkmedia.co.uk/sitemap.shtml )

You could visit http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/

The reason I suggest this is that I deleted my own xml sitemap, and google
dropped 30 of my pages within a day. I recreated it using the above site a
week later, and within 24 hours of upload I had my whole site back on
Google. I also immediately noticed a huge increase in msn traffic to pages
which weren't in the original xml sitemap, but were in the new one.

My 2p worth !

Maybe they're gearing up to use sitemaps proper with the combined
protocol.
