For instance, one of my sites regularly comes up with split results for the search terms "Ted Joans," "Kirby Doyle," "Hammond Guthrie," "beat generation," and "beat generation books" (with or without quotes) and has for the past several years. In each case, each of the 2 pages in question are equally relevant to the search term. I don't know if PR affects this at all; in 2 of the cases mentioned above the pages have identical PR, in 2 cases the PR varies by 1 point (5 & 4), and in 1 case, the PR varies by 2 points (6 & 4). It's a real nice thing & makes the links stand out on the page a little more. Just love it when it happens. cheers! Denise |

PR has nothing to do with it, it all comes down to 'relevance'. > It's a real nice thing & makes the links stand out on the page a little > more. Just love it when it happens. It realy is. And thats IMHO exactly what Google want's to acchieve with it. But I wonder if that's so. Because I don't see this split result with low-PR pages (say, PR3 or less). > >> It's a real nice thing & makes the links stand out on the page a little >> more.
