Hi all
trying to learn a bit about this issue. Have been looking at Total Validatior to se page errors http://www.totalvalidator.com/validator/Validator and found a site that says optimisations has been done by some company and when I run the validation it comes up with 91 errors on site. Can you give a advice on this. the site I checked is http://www.gshotelsresorts.com/conference-events.htm Can you comment some errors? and on this site same http://www.seobook.com/ and supposed to be optimised as their main seems to be optimisation. This one http://www.seomoz.org/ has only one error on the homepage, seems validator works ok. Is this tool ok anyway, do you have suggestion on trying something else? Thanks BT |

Don't use XHTML if you don't understand what it means, or implies. As for most errors, the validator gives a clear report, and even examples how to fix it. -- John Need with SEO? Not all people who do SEO understand HTML/XHTML, which is odd in my opinion. > Do you see them as trusworthy company? No idea. Might be that it works SEO wise, but could work better when those errors are fixed. > Do you have any other tools to recomend? Might be very well the case that if you fix those errors (most are very simple, for example <BR> should be replaced with <br /> (or removed if possible). Didn't check the SEO on that page, so no idea. > How are tarantulas? 2 have been mostly hidden for months. I made one leave its burrow last week, and it ate a cricket. The other one I saw drink some water 2 weeks ago. So I guess those 2 are ok. The other is even more secretive :-) I guess I am more a scorpion guy :-) I like to see tarantulas in the wild though. -- John Need with SEO? No longer interesting to SE crawlers, right? Have you ever been to a SES conference ? What are the beginner benefits to attend? Or do you suggest, digg the web first and when I get the knowlege try to attend one? http://www.searchenginestrategies.co...s06/index.html |

There's a lot more to optimization than W3C validity! But do I a agree with Big Bill - if the robots are going to get confused by your code then you are hurting yourself in the rankings. You are wise to eliminate the errors (the W3C validator reports 119 errors for that page) Steve www.elinkexchange.com |
