Well, this market changes quicker than anything I have seen before. What is true a month ago, is not true now. Basically, everyone and his dog have jumped into web sales, and the market pressure is intense. B and Q are now selling quality bathrooms, and everything is changing very quickly. There is a lot of money to made, but you have to be clever Anyway, I do have to get some professional to survive. I did make some enquiries but people start thinking I am richer than Bill Gates, and quote accordingly. > > BB > -- > > http://www.crystal-liaison.com/angel...-guardian.html > http://www.crystal-liaison.com/anri/black-king.html > http://www.crystal-liaison.com/art-i...ax-appeal.html |

Well, basically I need someone to give me an overview of the whole SEO approach benfits/drawbacks/costs/competition/future and then I can decide which direction is best. My knowledge of SEO is very limited, so I really need an overview of all options and where options would take me. I was really looking for the blue-chip equivalent of SEO, as I don't want tricks or scams, I just want to get my products better visible to customers. Regarding Dyson, I read most of his book. His is definitely a screwed up guy. I like reading about people who beat the odds, like Perot, Gates (yawn). Most of them are screwed up. > > BB > -- > > http://www.crystal-liaison.com/angel...-guardian.html > http://www.crystal-liaison.com/anri/black-king.html > http://www.crystal-liaison.com/art-i...ax-appeal.html |

What's the diff between your bathroom site and all the others that sell the same gear? What makes it better? That's what SEO tends to focus on and get you an online rep for. Otherwise you pay for online advertising and PPC which as you'll be well aware has a recognised element of fraud but many feel it's still worthwhile. If you advertise better and more then you'll get clients. If you run more vigorous PPC campaigns then you'll get clients but in both instances you have to ask yourself whether the profit will justify the outlay. >I was really looking for the blue-chip equivalent of SEO, as I don't >want tricks or scams, That might be where the biggest tricksters are. Some reputable people, Grehan, Sullivan, are leaving the companies they built the reputations of as they've been bought out and I gather they don't get on with the philosophies of the new owners. Blue chip can be transient. > I just want to get my products better visible to >customers. You'll need a USP. >Regarding Dyson, I read most of his book. His is definitely a screwed >up guy. Actually that is one view from an SEO viewpoint. But the actual issue is about marrying technical aspects to business methods which are then joined to products for sale. This is all a long more complex than just selling an item. It depends on what you paid for it (a very complex issue), and what returns policy you have and also carriage costs. So the simple methods of the past won't work now. So how do I get SEO quotes???? > > >I was really looking for the blue-chip equivalent of SEO, as I don't > >want tricks or scams, > > That might be where the biggest tricksters are. Actually, as I implied above this is a lot more complex than past analysis would suggest. China has changed everyone's thinking, it is possible to buy something at 10 pounds and sell it for 100 pounds and give the end user a 50% discount. Is that a USP? I can of course expand on these points. But the fundamental issue is the relationships between SEO, business, product sales, which means getting visitors, getting sales, and then getting no returns with referrals afterwards. It also means having good supply lines, and much more! > > >Regarding Dyson, I read most of his book. His is definitely a screwed > >up guy. Perot: thinks WH (white house) is corrupt and incompetent, he wants everyone to be a business man/woman. Gates: DoJ is anti-American, Gates wants to buy Earth and rent it to the population Dyson: British business relies on short term advertising, he wants a nation of engineers and long term thinkers > > BB > -- > > http://www.crystal-liaison.com/angel...-guardian.html > http://www.crystal-liaison.com/anri/black-king.html > http://www.crystal-liaison.com/art-i...ax-appeal.html |
