I was doing an old New York Times Crossword puzzle and <ahem> had
occasion to use google to search for1. Down, "Italian silk center". Following the 4th hit in the results, google offered me its own generated suggestion: "See results for: weaving willow." Man, that was spooky for a moment. As far as I know (well, I did have to look it up, right!) there is no connection between "Italian silk center" and "weaving willow." But, lo and behold, the clue for19 Across in the same NYT crossword puzzle is "Weaving willow." More puzzle cheaters than I thought, and all of us caught in the act! ;-) |
