Hello,
I currently have htacess installed in my main directory - which seems to work fine. I created a new directory which I am attempting to use as a file server. The new directory called fileserver which is in the htdocs directory. So we have http://myurl.com/fileserver/ I created an .htaccess file to generate the contents of the directory (Options Indexes) but it doesn't seem to be responding. Is it as simple as placing an .htaccess file in the directory or am I meant to do something else? Is there anyway I could add the functionality for this new directory to the .htcess file in my root directory? |

Do you have "AllowOverride All" in the relevant directory container in httpd.conf? >Is it as simple as placing an .htaccess file in the directory Yes >tIs there anyway I could add the functionality for this >new directory to the .htcess file in my root directory? What would the "AllowOverride All" statement do? Prevent ..htaccess files in other directories? |
