Basically, I have created a new directory on my webserver and after doing a
bit of reading I realise I need an .htaccess file to create the file tree. Suggestions on how to do this? Could I simply dump an .htacess file in the directory and get it to start operating as a file server or is more involved? |

The configuration of the appearance of the listing was dealt with in this newsgroup on 11 Feb 2007 under "the basic answer for you was mentioned on this newsgroup on 11 feb 2207 in thread entitiled "Re: Permission Problems" |
