Well my school goes through journeyed.com/campusestore.com, that price of $178 is only for certain schools.

but if adobe doesn't sell it that cheaply where do you suppose those "certain schools" get it?

I go to a top-notch university in st.louis, missouri and I am sure that they would not support a company that steals or anything like that. to get photoshop CS3 from my school I will have to pay about $300 bucks. I do not go to the schools that are selling it for about $178.

maybe the $178 verison is for cs3 standard vs the 299 for the extended version? i dunno.

Dave I think the really cheap version is just a disk. no box no books no nothing.

Penn State University sells C3 upgrades for $179. There is nothing to stop
a school from underwriting part of the cost for the students. Or from
making special deals on software. We have one with Microsoft and can get
Office, full package for $50 but it's not for the pubic.
