Budgie:

I am not sure if this will or not but it is worth a try. Even if
it does not work, you should always do this technique for any website.

When I type in http://www.constructionjobsearch.co.uk/ it
automatically goes to http://www.constructionjobsearch.co.uk/index.html.
Your website address should be persistent to http://www.constructionjobsearch.co.uk/.
If possible, change your DNS or web hosting settings to keep it from
doing that.

The second thing you must do is link all of your web pages to
http://www.constructionjobsearch.co.uk/ and not
http://www.constructionjobsearch.co.uk/index.html. The search engines
"see" http://www.constructionjobsearch.co.uk/index.html,
http://www.constructionjobsearch.co.uk/, http://constructionjobsearch.co.uk/index.html,
and http://constructionjobsearch.co.uk/ as entirely differently URLs.
Having one format and protocol will focus your website domain to
one format. Most directories already forced persons to write their
submission details as http://www.yourdomainname.co.uk/.

Having one consistent URL will also "influence" your visitors to link
to your website using http://www.constructionjobsearch.co.uk/ if they
happen to be on that web page. I hope this information was ful.
