Posted this so the Smarty forum, but no replies, so now it goes to the
list: Anyone know of a forum app that is suited to use with Smarty? We
need to integrate a forum into a site group that makes heavy use of
Smarty to present multiple sites from one codebase and one database.
Most forums that I've seen seem to have the application logic tied to
presentation overly-tightly. I'd like to be able to say, instantiate a
forum object and pull discussion threads from it as deep arrays, and
send that to Smarty for presentation. Surely someone has travelled this
road before? I can write it myself, but it would be nice to use a more
mature app for something so user-intensive as a forum.
