SEO is not about just doing something you don't understand because you
haven't got the proper background and basic knowledge.

It would be preferable to know HTML4.01 and XHTML. Next to that CSS,
some Javascript, understand how frames work, know what a CMS is and what
it does in basic etc. etc.

1 week ...? I don't think so.
