"Hi brother, I'm curious, what is your business? I may need to use your
services one day. Maybe I know someone who needs your services and I can
you out."
I would have been floored. This would have demonstrated...not nasty.
You too are being nasty. You have attacked my character from a few
sentences. This says a lot about your character.
You might instead demonstrate...not nasty...by stating
"Hey, I am bothered by the fact that you are having difficulty. Hope things
work out for you. Good luck."
