If one is failing (or slow) it will show the alteranate.

Probably not, since for the page to load DNS much be working but
it could theorectically be working SLOWLY and thus making pages
load slowly.
Show us your UNEDITED text from "IPconfig /all" for a machine with
the problem, and perhaps the full output of that NSLookup command
that troubled you.
