3xx codes are not error codes, they're intermediate status codes. 354
is the normal SMTP response when the sender has said it wants to send
the body of a message; the SMTP server sends 354 meaning "go ahead and
start sending." Sounds like your SquirrelMail is pretty broken if it's
treating that as an error condition. Only 4xx and 5xx codes are errors.
