Maximum connections to a NT40 share
We use an application to collect workstation data from 10,000 computers
state wide.
Logon scripts point to several server shares that run a scan32.exe
which outputs to a single NT40 share. (So we have 10,000 files coming
into a single share at roughly the same time.)
We are getting random access denied errors from the scan32.exe when it
tries to save to the share.
Provided that the licensing service is turned off and the share is set
to allow maximum users.
What is the the upper limit of simultanious connections to an NT40
share?
Would switching to a 2003 file server fix the problem?
