ok. I've got a 2.3 snapshot 20060418 installed and it's running fine.
However, I can't get sender_depedent_relayhost_maps to actually *do*
anything.

I've got:

sender_dependent_relayhost_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/relaymaps

in my main.cf
along with

domain1 <whitespace> RealSMTPServer
domain2 <whitespace> RealSMTPServer2
in the relaymaps file.

Regardless of the sending address, the server processes the email as
usual, and delivers it, rather than passing it on to the servers
specified in relaymaps.

I'm not sure what I'm missing.....
