What I meant to imply was that this newgroup is for the Postfix MTA,
and not Courier MTA software. Although you might get lucky and
accidently find someone here who is familiar with it.

Have you seen the web site http://www.courier-mta.org ?

Lot's of good info there. This page at least mentions authpw and
/etc/passwd: http://www.courier-mta.org/?authlib.html
