One of out other guys posted something up there a long time ago when the
problem became apparent, and got no response.

One of the servers I tested this problem on was a fresh install, and
there where no index files, - the production server is a different
matter - its been through several updates on dovecot, and I think
(though cant be certain) the indexes where rebuilt when the last upgrade
was done.

If I get some time over this week I'll try and dig a bit deeper into it
and see what more I can come up with.
