Hello,
I Iunderstand that you are not able to installed RS 2005 properly since
other components were upgraded to SP1. If I'm off-base, please let me know.
Based on my experience, this issue may occur since other components are in
SP1. You need to install RS 2005 SP1 after installing RS 2005, and then try
to configure RS 2005 with "reporting service configuation" tools
If the issue persists, please get the following log files and send it to
me. You could remove "online" from my displayed email address.
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Setup Bootstrap\LOG
Please compress the log file before sending them.
The SP1 setup log is under c:\windows\hotfix\rs9\
I look forward to your reply. Thanks.
Best Regards,
Peter Yang

Note: The MSDN Managed Newsgroup support offering is for non-urgent issues
where an initial response from the community or a Microsoft Support
Engineer within 1 business day is acceptable. Please note that each follow
up response may take approximately 2 business days as the support
professional working with you may need further investigation to reach the
most efficient resolution. The offering is not appropriate for situations
that require urgent, real-time or phone-based interactions or complex
project analysis and dump analysis issues. Issues of this nature are best
handled working with a dedicated Microsoft Support Engineer by contacting
Microsoft Customer Support Services (CSS) at
