I have 2 external DNS server that host the myname.com zone.
I also have internal AD integrated DNS servers that host the myname.com
zone.
The question was brought up about why can't you just put
http://myname.com
in a browser when user's are using the internal DNS servers? It works from
the outside DNS servers.
I don't have an issue with the external DNS servers. They have one A record
for (same as parent folder) and it points to the address that I want.
I could see on the internal DNS servers that there were A records for (same
as parent folder) for the servers that were hosting the internal DNS zones.
I deleted them but they have reappeared. Is there a way to control this so
that the internal records are not being automatically created and so that I
can control where the (same as parent folder) A record for the zone points
to?
Thanks.
